Meet Casey
Six years ago, at the age of 33 and as a mother of three, I slipped on my first pair of boxing gloves not ever having been in a contact sport. I just knew I had to somehow cope with the immense grief I was feeling after my mother unexpectedly passed at the age of 58. Even with no intentions of being in the cage, training in the sport has changed my life and helped shape who I am, today. Discipline, resilience, bravery, and confidence to name a few... traits I want to adhere to through my faith, words, and actions.
After a decade off from shooting portraiture, I have picked up my camera again; initially thinking it would be to continue photographing families; but God had other plans. He has given me a different vision and purpose this time around; all while training in the sport has given me the edge to capture a fighter's perspective and authenticity. Each image is a window into the resilience of the human spirit, celebrating the moments that define us and the journeys that shape our lives and future generations.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me out in my garden hands in the dirt and face to the sun. I enjoy spending quality time with my husband of 19 years, 3 kids, 1 dog, and 2 cats. Kombucha is my kryptonite and coffee is a lifeline. El Shaddai is my foundation and He is my business blueprint. I aspire to inspire others to stop avoiding what God is calling you to do; to dig deep and ask Him to shine a light on the gifts He has created in you to create opportunities in your life and in the lives of others. Remember, Peter was already a fisherman when Jesus approached him to be a fisher of men. It's already in your capacity. Go, beloved.
