HOW TO PREP FOR YOUR MMA FINE ART PORTRAIT SESSION
Whether you’re a seasoned fighter or just beginning your journey, your full MMA portrait session is about more than just capturing cool poses — it’s about honoring the work. The discipline. The daily grind. These portraits are designed to tell your story — the real one — in an environment that already knows your rhythm: the gym.
Here’s how to get the most out of your session and show up feeling confident, prepared, and fully you.

What to Expect
Each session is about 20-60 minutes long, and held at your home gym. You’ll bring your own gear, and I’ll guide you through a few simple, powerful poses that highlight strength, stillness, and story. No modeling experience needed — I’ll direct you (or your child) every step of the way to make sure we capture the essence of their training and spirit. I also shoot short video clips throughout — candid, moody, and movement-based. These aren’t staged fight scenes — they’re fragments of your real work, edited into visuals that hit hard on social, websites, or even to treasure as a keepsake. After the session, we'll sit down together to review your images and video. All images and video footage are carefully selected and professionally retouched by me.
What Are MMA Fine Art Portraits?
MMA Fine Art Portraits are a modern, elevated take on traditional sports photos. No cheesy smiles. No generic poses. Just raw, powerful portraits captured with your home gym as a background — designed to honor the fighter within.
Whether it's a child just starting their journey or an adult deep in their discipline, each image is quiet, strong, and deeply personal.
Fighters are never asked to force a smile — instead, they're encouraged to show up just as they are: focused, fierce, and proud.
ARRIVE ON TIME
Please arrive approximately 10 minutes early so we can go over the flow and layout of your session as well as your wardrobe choices. We’ll move between areas of the gym — so it’s helpful to arrive early, wrap up, and shake off any pressure before we begin.
CHOOSE GEAR THAT REPRESENTS YOU
This is your training identity — choose clean, well-fitting gear (rash guards, shorts, gloves, or gi) that you feel confident in. Avoid large, distracting logos unless they mean something to you. If you have sponsor gear you want featured, bring it clean and ready.
Bring 1–3 outfit options.
Make sure your outfit is:
- Clean, wrinkle-free, and well-fitted
- Free of distracting patterns or big unrelated logos
- Solid colors or classic tones photograph beautifully
Please feel free to send me your final outfit choices. This will help me to better plan your session. If you need direction with wardrobe, don't hesitate to ask!
BRING PERSONAL TOUCHES
Wraps, gloves, mouthguard, or a well-worn belt — anything that helps tell your fight story — are welcome.
TIDY UP
- Kids: Washed faces, no food on lips or mouths, clean nails
- Adults: Trim nails
Light grooming goes a long way in keeping the image sharp but real.
Bring your favorite pad holder
Want to level up your session? Invite and schedule your favorite pad holder or coach to join in. When you move with someone who knows your style, it shows — every shot is sharper, cleaner, and more you. It’s one of the best ways to show your skill and give your photos that unmistakable energy only you can bring.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
After your session, you’ll choose the images you love most, and those will be delivered as fully edited, high-resolution files. Video clips (if part of your package) will be delivered as a short reel — perfect for social media, gym highlights, or personal keepsakes. Professional print options (including gift prints, wall art, and more) are available to order directly through your gallery. I do not choose which photos you print; you do. Shipping fees are not including with print and product purchases. The ordering process is simple and secure. The gallery will be live for seven(7) days. ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED IN THAT SEVEN DAY PERIOD.
I can’t wait to photograph this moment in your journey! If you have any questions feel free to email me: ezervisions@gmail.com
